Conquering Cancer: A Key Role for EU-Japan Research

We are pleased to announce that the 13th KUBEC Researchers Forum ‘Conquering Cancer: A Key Role for EU-Japan Research‘ will take place on 1 December 2023 at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). This is a joint event between the 13th Kobe University Brussels European Centre Researchers Forum and the annual VUB Oncology Research Center Day, in cooperation with ULB-Institut Jules Bordet and the University of Kent.

Speakers from all 4 partner institutes will present the latest developments in cancer research according to 4 key themes.

  • Tumor microenvironment, tumor heterogeneity and plasticity
  • Development of cutting-edge treatments, with focus on immunotherapy, targeted therapies and radiotherapy (‘precision oncology’)
  • Advances in medical technologies and robotics in cancer treatment
  • Social and societal issues: Fostering innovations in cancer management, new approaches in patient empowerment and well-being, enhancement of quality of life in patients, their carers and families

In these morning sessions we welcome all researchers and clinicians interested in cancer research. RIZIV/INAMI accreditation is requested.
